FOUND PET COCKATIEL - PADDINGTON NSW

FOUND - PET COCKATIEL, PADDINGTON NSW

Near Scottish Hospital, 3 MARCH 2005. Not a strong flyer. Was being harrassed by mynah birds when found, and very hungry and in need of some TLC. Fairly friendly, likes to sit on your shoulder, nervous about other handling but reasonably tame. Wolf whistles.

LOOKING FOR ORIGINAL OWNER. Have you lost your cockatiel? Please email scot.mcphee /at/ gmail.com or comment here with a description of your bird to claim him or her. Currently safe & sound with good carers and visited specialist avian vet for check-up & treatment.

Re: FOUND PET COCKATIEL - PADDINGTON NSW

Hi, I lost a male grey cockatiel in Aug 05. He was a little scruffy looking more so on the wings. He was learning pop goes the weasle. wings not clipped. He had a very little yellow spot on the head and also around the anus area. If this sounds like it could be him I can email a photo of him. Thanks, Kim

Re: FOUND PET COCKATIEL - PADDINGTON NSW

Hello Kim;

I'm sorry to tell you that this particular cockatiel was found on the 3rd March 2005 (over a year ago now) so he wouldn't be your little guy. The little guy we found eventually went to a good owner who has looked after him very well.

I know from the response I got when we posted this information around Paddo at the time, there are a LOT of lost cockatiels. They seem to take the bolt quite randomly. People get complacent about their apparent docility then one day just out of the blue they suddenly take wing out the open window.

regs, scot
